By isolating critical equipment from utility power, the rack mount UPS and tower UPS products use the double conversion online topology providing the ultimate in clean and stable electrical power output. Incoming power routes to the UPS where it is stabilized, conditioned and converted from AC to DC power. The converted DC power routes to the battery charger and is ultimately converted back to AC power. This “double conversion” provides near perfect output power for sensitive electronic equipment.

To ensure 7/24 up time, this true online UPS topology utilizes a “maintenance bypass switch” within its circuity design. If the UPS detects a system failure, audible alarms will sound as the bypass switch is engages. This routes power around the failed UPS and ensures continued power to target equipment. This very important feature allows for 100% up time for critical equipment while the UPS can be repaired or replaced.

In the event of total power loss, the uninterruptible power supply will automatically switch to battery backup power. The internal backup lead acid batteries will continue to supply power until power is restored or the fully battery discharges. There is no transfer time as the transition to battery power is instantaneous. This feature provides true uninterruptible power to mission critical equipment.
