The ASE-H is a durable electrical power conditioning, redundant backup power solution, ideal for use in medical applications.

There is a growing need for Uninterruptable Power Supplies in the medical industry for not only hospitals, but out-patient clinics, research laboratories, and medical data centers.  Newer technologies in hardware and software require clean, conditioned electrical power for peak performance and operation.  In many cases, this delicate and expensive medical equipment operates in older building infrastructure and or on an outdated overburdened commercial electrical power grid requiring the use of an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

With the same performance features found with the SANUPS product family but the ability to add additional backup power, the SANUPS ASE-H is a modular redundant system by design.  In stand-alone form the ASE-H that provides 1kVA of power and can add up to five additional units in parallel, for a total output capacity of up to 5kVA.  The ASE-H makes parallel operation easy and features a small form factor, easy operation, network compatibility, and increased capacity while ensuring high reliability for today’s medical devices.

Double Conversion Online

The ASE-H protects critical equipment by isolating them from the raw incoming utility power.  Converting AC power to DC and then back to AC, the electrical output from the UPS is a pure sine wave in both voltage and frequency, providing clean, conditioned, and stable electrical power.

This battery type has twice the energy density per unit volume of lead storage batteries and about ten times the charge-discharge cycle lifetime making them suitable for medical grade UPS systems.

RedundancyRedundancy

Providing 7/24 uptime for critical equipment, the ASE-H is a redundant parallel array of UPS systems.  In the event one of the UPS systems fails, the others within the group continue to provide the same amount of conditioned power, allowing for the defective unit to be repaired or replaced.

Wide Input RangeWide Input Range

This feature protects connected equipment from electrical sags and spikes. The wide range input capability also keeps the UPS from switching to reserve battery power allowing the backup batteries to remain at full charge as well as reducing stress on target equipment and UPS.

Auto Health Check

The ASE-H systematically checks the UPS through the integrated CPU controller.  The system checks status on battery charge, discharge and voltage states as well as internal UPS temperatures.  If anomalies are detected the UPS provides an alert alarm for system maintenance to the end user.

Power Correction Power Correction

Power Factor Correction eliminates distortion and harmonic currents that are harmful to sensitive electrical equipment.   Eliminating this distortion removes the potential for equipment performance issues, increases overall target equipment reliability, and reduces system power consumption.

Designed with reduced EMI emissions in mind, the ASE-H’s internal circuity design was developed utilizing an acoustic anechoic chamber to test and validate the system.  These extra steps ensure the lowest electrical noise possible reducing electrical interference problems to surrounding sensitive equipment.

The ASE-H utilizes an internal thermal management system to reduce the audible noise coming from the UPS. This management system adjusts the cooling fan rotational speed depending on thermal requirements at that time.  This built-in intelligence reduces the decibel levels generated by the UPS considerably.

Remote ManagementRemote Management

With the optional LAN management card and SANUPS SOFTWARE, the ASE-H can provide for remote monitoring of the UPS as well as a shutdown assistant for medical equipment powered by the UPS.

SHUTDOWN ASSISTANT SOFTWARE

SANUPS SOFTWARE is a Web-based automated 7/24 shutdown assistant. When installed on shutdown target computers, your mission-critical equipment can be safely powered down in the event of an extended power loss.  This ensures system up-time, data integrity, and the ability to maintain business continuity. The application shutdown function even shuts down Microsoft office applications as well. Systems administrators will receive remote email notification during power events.

Up to 16 (Optional) heat and humidity sensors can be installed for enhanced environmental monitoring of the UPS systems, equipment racks as well as rooms.
