The Eaton 5P UPS delivers reliable enterprise class backup power in a rackmount form factor with an efficiency rating of up to 99%. Featuring a lightweight lithium-ion battery, this 5P model offers a longer battery lifespan and a longer warranty than 5Ps with traditional lead-acid batteries. When paired with Eaton Intelligent Power Manager software, the 5P with lithium-ion batteries allows you to reduce the frequency of onsite visits and seamlessly manage your connected equipment, even in virtualized environments.
Progression in battery technology and remote management come together to make the 5P 1440VA lithium-ion UPS a necessity for edge computing environments. Now, you can simply set it and forget it by deploying the 5P without the maintenance and refresh challenges of a UPS utilizing lead-acid batteries.
Building on the success of the 5P UPS platform, Eaton has reduced the weight, improved battery life and lengthened our warranty. These added benefits, in combination with the extended life of the product, provide you with the opportunity to align your UPS refresh cycles with the rest of the IT stack, saving time and money spent on labor and replacement batteries.

Power Protection provided by the Eaton 5P UPS:
Power problems such as electrical surges and sags
Total loss of electrical power or hard power “re-boots”
Severe weather events such as lighting storms, ice and snow storms and downed power lines
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
The Eaton 5P 1440VA Lithium-Ion UPS supports incoming wide AC power input. This feature protects the UPS and connected equipment from adverse voltage conditions. This wide AC input capability can offer sag and surge protection without engaging the backup batteries of the UPS. This will reduce the stress on connected critical equipment and extends the battery life of the UPS.
Line Interactive Topology
This Line Interactive 1440VA uninterruptible power supply offers power backup and surge protection. This corrects minor power fluctuations (surges and sags) without switching to battery backup power. This extends the life of the battery and is critical for applications where power fluctuations occur frequently.
Typical applications are Point of Sale systems, PCs, network equipment, and mid-range servers.Under a power outage the line interactive UPS’ static switch disconnects the load from the commercial power source. The bidirectional converter acts as an inverter, supplying energy from the batteries keeping critical systems powered. Upon restoration of power from the commercial power source, the static switch reconnects to the load to resume normal operations.
